Model Metrication in MOVA: A Metamodel-Based Approach using OCL
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present the metrication facility available in the MOVA tool and discuss its metamodel-based design: metrics in MOVA are OCL queries over the instances (automatically generated by the tool) of the MOVA metamodel corresponding to the user-depicted models. Thanks to this metamodel-based design, although the MOVA tool provides a collection of predefined metrics, the users can also write and execute their own metrics using the OCL editor included in the MOVA tool.

MOVA: A Tool for Modeling, Measuring and Validating UML Class Diagrams
The MOVA tool is a rewriting-based UML [8] modeling, measuring, and validation tool developed as part of a broader effort for integrating rigorous modeling and validation into the software engineering curricula and the industrial software engineering process. Validation and testing in software development have been recognized of key importance for long. For certain aspects of a design, UML clas...
متن کاملSpecifying Coupling and Cohesion Metrics using OCL and Alloy
This report presents a MOF-compliant metamodel for calculating software metrics and demonstrates how it is used to generate a metrics tool that calculates coupling and cohesion metrics. We also describe a systematic approach to the analysis of MOF-compliant metamodels and illustrate the approach using the presented metamodel. In this approach, we express the metamodel using UML and OCL and harn...
متن کاملSharing OWL/SWRL and UML/OCL Rules
The paper presents a metamodel-driven model transformation approach to sharing rules between the Semantic Web Rule Language along with the Web Ontology Language (OWL/SWRL) and Object Constraint Language (OCL) along with UML (UML/OCL). The solution is based on the REWERSE Rule Markup Language (R2ML), a MOF-defined general rule language, as a pivotal metamodel and the bi-directional transformatio...
متن کاملUsing OCL in Model Validation According to Stereotypes
Model-Driven Development approach became popular in past years. Domain-specific profiles are defined for various domains and tools are used to transform models using these profiles to source code artifacts. However, rules need to be defined for the profile elements usage so the transformation can be effective and reliable. This paper deals with an approach of expressing these rules using specia...
متن کاملFrom Access Control Policies to an Aspect-Based Infrastructure: A Metamodel-Based Approach
Security is among the most successful applications of aspectoriented concepts. In particular, in role-based access control, aspects capture access conditions in a quite modular way. The question we address in this paper is how can aspects be generated from access control policies under a validated process? We present a metamodel-based transformation from SecureUML, a rolebased access control la...
